Are convection heaters better than fan heaters?

Where should I place a convection heater?

Place a convection heater on the floor against the coldest wall of the room, which is usually an external wall with windows. Warm air rises from the heater, sets up a circulation loop and evens out the room temperature. Keep it at least 1m clear of curtains and furniture, and never cover the heater or use it to dry clothes.
