Congratulations to our Suzuki Jimny Winner for 2026!

Mitre 10 MEGA Te Rapa & Ruakura are proud to share the winner of our second ‘WIN BIG WITH MEGA’ competition – Lily Mace!

Drawn from over 40,000 entries, Owner & CEO Hayden Camp had the pleasure of handing over the keys to Lily and congratulating her on Tuesday 21st April 2026, at Winger Motors Hamilton.

Lily is an incredible Hamilton local who’s been a dedicated gardener all her life, and a frequent shopper at both Mitre 10 MEGA Te Rapa & Mitre 10 MEGA Ruakura stores.

Lily said “I thought that he was wanting to talk to me because I'd cleaned out all the fertilizers too often from both stores” when asked how she felt receiving the call from Hayden.

“And when he said about the vehicle, it didn't make sense. Like, my mind couldn't shift. And then when it kind of registered that he really did mean it, it just didn't seem real.”

“It's great to be able to give away this prize to such a deserving customer. Always in our store, all the team know her and yeah, it's just amazing to be able to give that away to her,” said Hayden.

Lily’s prize was a 2025 Suzuki Jimny 5DR plus a Kiwi Camping Tuatara Summit Roof Top Tent, altogether worth $47,199. “It's a beautiful vehicle. I walked in the store not thinking anybody knew and they all came up and said congratulations and they are such a good bunch” Lily said.

But, when asked what she plans to do with her new Suzuki Jimny, it was Lily’s generosity that was really touching to see!

“I'm giving it to my son. It's too beautiful for me to fill with garden equipment and fertilizers and compost and things but he deserves it and he's got a young girl, a daughter who's seven.”

“They've been driving around in a very dodgy vehicle that was going to cost him so much to repair, it wasn't worth it. So the timing couldn't have been more perfect. It's absolutely meant to be that after the couple of years, the rough couple of years he's had, the right timing for the right person.”

Hayden said this is what it means to be a part of our local community.

“This giveaway was an amazing opportunity to really sort of be part of the community. That's what we're about, you know, we are a local Hamilton based company and we want to give back and it was great to work with local businesses, Winger Motors, as well as Kiwi Camping.”

“But also, you as the customers sort of play an important part in us being able to do this type of stuff within Hamilton, so I just want to say a big thank you.”
