There are a whole host of different storage solutions that not only help keep your home looking neat and tidy but also add to the room's overall theming and style.

Any type of shelving will help contain mess - but if you want to take it to the next step get creative and try using some wooden crates, woven baskets or stackable plastic containers to give your storage solution a bit of interest and flair. When things have a place, they feel organised: why not do a colour gradient of your storage boxes, painting them dark blue through to light blue - or label different boxes with blackboard paint and write on them with chalk!

When attaching load bearing storage solutions to a wall, make sure you do so to a stud so the weight is distributed evenly.
