Water plants regularly to keep the soil evenly moist to avoid a feast or famine approach. The frequency you need to water the plant will depend upon the room temperature. In summer it could be as often as once a week in summer and fortnightly in winter. Indoor Plants need light to create their energy and survive, so if a plant isn’t getting enough light it’ll exhibit some tell-tale signs, look out for pale growth and weak flowering. If your plant shows these signs move it to somewhere that has more light. Most indoor house plants originate from sub-tropical rainforests where humidity can be as high as 100 per cent. To provide similar conditions, spray the foliage of plants with warm water regularly. Fertilisers help to keep the plant healthy by ensuring it gets the nutrients it needs. Newly purchased or recently re-potted plants should not be fed with fertiliser until they are a couple of months old as it can burn the roots because they are not well established.

Orders under 25kg are $8.00 to Metro areas and $13.50 to Rural* areas.
Surcharges may apply for multiple items, or based on the size, weight or any special handling requirements. This is required to make sure your order reaches you safely. Final shipping costs will be calculated and displayed at checkout. Alternatively the store may contact you to make other delivery arrangements.
If multiple items are ordered and are available within different timeframes, we may deliver the items separately. If this is the case you will not incur any extra delivery cost.
*For parcel orders, rural delivery addresses are as defined by New Zealand Post address data.

No Hassle Returns
We are happy to exchange or refund any unopened and unused, non-customised items returned to us in their original condition and packaging, including all accessories and the invoice or delivery docket, within 28 days. Customised products, which include products cut, made-to-measure, special order or mixed to specific requirements, cannot be refunded or exchanged.
It’s always easiest to return your product to the store you got it from, but you can return it to any Mitre 10 store. If you prefer to courier your product back to us, just check your invoice to see which store dispatched your order and that’s where you send it back to.
We will refund to your original payment method where possible or, if you prefer, we can issue you a Mitre 10 gift card for the sum equal to the cost of the product excluding handling and any delivery or returns costs.
Faulty Goods
If a problem occurs with a product purchased from Mitre 10 please contact us. We will arrange for it to be repaired or replaced, or provide a refund as specified by the Consumer Guarantees Act.
