Registrations are now officially closed, we’ve hit full capacity! We’re absolutely blown away by the incredible support this year. If you missed out, we’re truly sorry. But don’t worry, we’re already planning to go even bigger next year!
Now in its 17th year, this much-loved social event is all about encouraging people to get out and enjoy the stunning scenery that makes Hawke’s Bay so unique. With four different walk options available, there's something for everyone regardless of age, fitness level, or physical ability.
Each year, we welcome a diverse group of participants, from energetic youngsters to the young at heart, elite athletes to those overcoming physical challenges. Their determination and spirit continue to inspire us all.
Over the past 16 years, MEGA walk has proudly raised more than $306,000 to support young people and their families in Hawke’s Bay living with cancer. Once again, we’re thrilled to announce that all proceeds will go directly to The Acorn Project Hawke’s Bay.
The Acorn Project offers tailored, wraparound support for young people aged 12–24 and their families navigating cancer. Their services include one-on-one support from dedicated youth workers, peer connections with other local members, and monthly activities. At its core, The Acorn Project believes every young person in Hawke’s Bay deserves access to support that empowers them, makes them feel seen, and helps them express their hopes and choices for the future.
