Charity House Build
With the support of our sponsors and local Kapiti businesses, we're building a brilliant, transportable, single storey family home on an a site within the Kapiti Landing Retail Precinct. Once completed, the home will be auctioned off with proceeds going towards our local Kapiti youth community for education/arts/wellbeing focussed projects, via a newly established Charitable Trust. The local Community will be invited to “open days”, to view the home prior to the auction.

Mitre 10 MEGA Kapiti claims national retail chain award for third time in four years
Mitre 10 MEGA Kapiti has taken out the title of Mitre 10 Garden Centre of the Year for 2015, making it the third time since 2012 that the Kapiti store has won the award. The award was presented at this year’s annual awards dinner, which was held on 23 July at the Langham Hotel in Auckland. Mitre 10 MEGA Kapiti won for the first time in 2012 and was chosen again in 2014 after a panel of judges assessed the store on customer and supplier feedback, store presentation, staff performance and financial performance.
“This is just brilliant,” Mitre 10 MEGA Kapiti owner Vince Indo. “Winning this award for a third time goes to show how committed we are to our customers.”
Mitre 10 CEO Neil Cowie said Mitre 10 MEGA Kapiti held off stiff competition to claim this year’s Mitre 10 Garden Centre of the Year title.
“It would’ve been tough for the judges to pick a winner as a bunch of our stores have a great garden offering,” Mr Cowie said. “The Kapiti team stood out in a number of areas and they really shine in their customer service.”
The Mitre 10 New Zealand Awards acknowledge the efforts of team members across the country and seek to reflect the company’s continuing focus on customer experience.
