We’re looking for our next SIX Helping Hands projects

Mitre 10 Helping Hands has completed some amazing projects over the years, and we couldn’t be more proud to support the communities that support us. But we know the work isn’t done. We’re on the hunt for six community projects to back over the next 12 months.

We’re not just donating cash either, we’ll show up with our network and help you with materials, volunteers and project management to get the whole job done, start to finish. Each project will have around $25,000 to work with, though keep in mind - a lot of the labour is done by locals volunteering their time.

We’re keen to dig in and get it done, whether you’re at the top of the North Island, the bottom of the South Island, or anywhere in between. If you’re part of an organisation that could use a Helping Hand, please make a submission with the form below.

Check out our Helping Hands page to see some examples of projects we’ve completed in the past.

Each participating store will review eligible entries allocated to that store and select one finalist having regard to the judging criteria set out below. Store finalists will be submitted to the Promoter for final judging.
  5. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
  6. As a condition of receiving the Prize, each Winning Community Group must enter into any agreements reasonably required by the Promoter in connection with delivery of the Prize, including project agreements, site access agreements, property owner approvals and any other documentation reasonably required by the Promoter.
  7. The Promoter may engage employees, contractors, suppliers and other third parties to assist with delivery of the Prize.
  8. The Winning Community Group must provide safe and reasonable access to the project site and co-operate with all reasonable health and safety requirements.
