Getting Started
Pick a Splashback that you like from the pre-cut range.
Check wall is flat, level, and clean. Then measure the area for Splashback position.
Preparation
Centralise the Splashback over the area that you wish to fix it to. Rule a light pencil mark on wall where the outside edges of the Splashback will go.
If you are attaching the Splashback onto a wall where there is no bench to support it on, you will need to fix a temporary board to the wall to support the Splashback’s weight.
Place a length of masking tape to the benchtop approx. 3mm away from the wall, then run a bead of neutral cure silicone along the wall/ benchtop intersection.
Application
Rest Splashback on a towel or cardboard to prevent scratches. Apply neutral cure silicone to the back of the Splashback, 40-50mm in from the edges. Apply the silicone in small 30mm diameter circles – these will form a suction with the wall, helping it remain in place until it dries.
Remove the masking tape and gently sit the Splashback on the bead of silicone in line with the pencil marks.
Push the Splashback firmly onto the wall and ensure it’s sitting exactly where you want it.
Allow 24 hours for silicone to fully cure, do not move or adjust the Splashback during this time.
