Project:  Carpet replacement for senior resident with health issues

Timaru resident Marilyn Armstrong now has a newly carpeted house, thanks to helpful neighbour Michelle Silver and the team at Mitre 10 MEGA Timaru.

Marilyn lives on her own and has had health problems including cataracts on both eyes, so supportive neighbour Michelle has been checking in regularly with her. Replacing Marilyn’s old, worn out carpets were part of her mission to make Marilyn’s home warm and comfortable, along with insulation and heat pump installation.

After Michelle reached out to Mitre 10 MEGA Timaru looking for carpet offcuts, Retail Manager Paul Fisher and the flooring team headed by Paul and Hayley got to work replacing Marilyn’s carpets entirely, finishing the job off with a morning tea and flowers.

Marilyn and Michelle were overwhelmed by the generosity and delighted with the result.
