Repaint your kitchen cabinetry for a whole new look
Painting your cabinetry is an easy way to give your kitchen a facelift.
Before you begin, do your research and make sure you're in the know-how of paint application, and what type of paint to use. If your existing cabinets are timber, you may need to sand and strip them before applying an undercoat. If your cabinets have a laminate on them, ask your Mitre 10 expert about the best primer to use underneath your top coat colour!
If you're thinking of painting over your existing cabinetry, you first have to figure out what kind of product is currently on your cabinets. If it already has a painted finish then it may just be a case of giving it a light sand but if the cupboards have a veneer finish then specialty paint will be needed.
For a higher quality finish it is worth investing in a spray gun.
