Helping Hand: Mitre 10 MEGA Dunedin
Project: Dunedin’s Daffodil House Garden
Daffodil House in Dunedin is a home away from home for those travelling to the city for cancer treatment. The Cancer Society designed it to be a sanctuary, a home-base for people and families at an uncertain and stressful time of life.
The team at Mitre 10 MEGA Dunedin are proud to have lent a helping hand, giving the garden at The Cancer Society’s Daffodil House an incredible makeover that gives guests an outdoor space where they can relax, reflect, and connect with friends and family.
The makeover includes a beautiful water feature, birdbath, paves, plants, outdoor furniture, and a pergola. The Mitre 10 MEGA Dunedin team have worked alongside other great organisations and contributed their time and materials to help complete a wonderful project.
Group CEO of Mitre 10 MEGA Dunedin & Mitre 10 Mosgiel, Niel Finn-House said, “the new garden will have a profound effect on the physical wellbeing of guests, with the relaxing sounds of birds chirping, water flowing through the water feature and a beautiful environment to enjoy."
Dr Rachael Hart, the Cancer Society's Chief Executive said “we were thrilled to have our project selected for Mitre 10 MEGA Dunedin’s Helping Hands initiative. The garden makeover looks fabulous, with a magnificent water feature, birdbath, new pavers, beautiful plants, outdoor furniture, and a pergola. Thanks to Mitre 10, our clients can now enjoy this stunning outdoor area.”
The Mitre 10 MEGA Dunedin team worked alongside Naylor Love, Hall Brothers Transport and Impact roofing & Plumbing on this project.
