Blitzem is a slug and snail bait trusted by many New Zealanders to control slugs and snails in their gardens. The bait comes in the form of pellets, allowing for easy and safe use.

The box's handy easy-seal pourer eliminates the risk of accidental skin contact. The active ingredient in this product is metaldehyde which acts as a stomach poison that dehydrates snails and slugs after they eat a bite. To use the bait, scatter thepellets evenly 5cm apart around small seedlings and other garden plants wherever slugs and snails are causing damage. This bait is most effective when it is applied thoroughly. This process is repeated as needed in 7-to-10-day intervals, or after heavy rain. Store away from children and pets. Do not heap, it’s wasteful and easy for domestic pets to collect. Dogs may find pellets attractive. If eaten, take to vet immediately. Do not apply to edible plant parts. Not to be used for any purpose or in any manner, contrary to this label unless authorised.

We are happy to exchange or refund products within 28 days provided that the product is returned with a valid invoice or delivery docket, and;

Customised products, which include products cut, made-to-measure, special order or mixed to specific requirements, cannot be refunded or exchanged.

Clearance items or products purchased during Clearance events in our stores, cannot be returned or exchanged.

It’s always easiest to return your product to the store you got it from, but you can return it to any Mitre 10 store. If you prefer to courier your product back to us, just check your invoice to see which store dispatched your order and that’s where you send it back to.

We will refund to your original payment method where possible or, if you prefer, we can issue you a Mitre 10 Gift Card for the sum equal to the cost of the product excluding handling and any delivery or returns costs.

If you return products which were purchased in full or part using Airpoints Dollars™ and choose to have your purchase refunded, we’ll refund you in the same proportion of Airpoints Dollars™ and other payment types that were used for the original payment.

Faulty Goods

If a problem occurs with a product purchased from Mitre 10, bring it back to us with your proof of purchase. We will either repair, replace or provide you with a refund, as set out in the Consumer Guarantees Act.
