The exotic Hibiscus loves sunlight and must be placed in a bright spot. Hibiscus should be watered regularly, but never be left with its roots flooded in water. Your Hibiscus can be kept for many years. With a little green fingers, fertilising regular and if in a container re-potting every second year, you will achieve a long and generous partnership. This plant is suitable as an indoor flowering house plant or an outdoor patio plant in a frost free area.

Water well from spring to autumn and more carefully in the winter. They tolerate standing in water but not drying out. Keep plants away from direct sunlight as to much light will cause yellowing of the foliage. They are tropical plants and prefer warm temperatures, 18 degree Celsius is ideal but they will tolerate down to 15 degree Celsius. Keep drier in winter and apply liquid fertiliser regularly during the growing season. Occasionally wipe the leaves to keep them dust free. They prefer high humidity, old flower stems can be cut off and plants should be re-potted in the spring. They can be susceptible to spider mites and grey mould.

Due to the size, weight or materials involved, this product is currently not able to be delivered. However, you can still buy online and collect this product at your local Mitre 10 or Mitre 10 MEGA store.

We are happy to exchange or refund products within 28 days provided that the product is returned with a valid invoice or delivery docket, and;

  • is unopened and unused

  • in original condition and packaging

  • includes all accessories

  • is not a customised item

Customised products, which include products cut, made-to-measure, special order or mixed to specific requirements, cannot be refunded or exchanged.

Clearance items or products purchased during Clearance events in our stores, cannot be returned or exchanged.

It’s always easiest to return your product to the store you got it from, but you can return it to any Mitre 10 store. If you prefer to courier your product back to us, just check your invoice to see which store dispatched your order and that’s where you send it back to.

We will refund to your original payment method where possible or, if you prefer, we can issue you a Mitre 10 Gift Card for the sum equal to the cost of the product excluding handling and any delivery or returns costs.

If you return products which were purchased in full or part using Airpoints Dollars™ and choose to have your purchase refunded, we’ll refund you in the same proportion of Airpoints Dollars™ and other payment types that were used for the original payment.

Faulty Goods

If a problem occurs with a product purchased from Mitre 10, bring it back to us with your proof of purchase. We will either repair, replace or provide you with a refund, as set out in the Consumer Guarantees Act.
