RAB™ Board is an all in one bracing, airtight and fire resistant fibre cement sheet. The inherent strength of RAB™ Board makes it an ideal product for use in shear wall design in residential or commercial specific design projects. RAB™ Board is a non-combustible material that will achieve excellent fire performance, unlike traditional flexible and timber wall underlays. The unique green panel has a built in air and water resistant barrier to keep moisture out, while still allowing the moisture vapour to pass through allowing the framing cavity to dry.
RAB™ Board 9mm is suitable for specific design shear wall for residential or commercial applications where the structural design req uires strong/stiffer shear walls.
- Resistant to fire, rot resistant and resistant to moisture damage
- Up to 60 minutes fire resistance rating (FRR) can be achieved when installed as per the Fire and Acoustic Design Manual by James Hardie.Can be exposed for up to 180 days during construction
- Suitable for use as a rigid air barrier in Extra High (EH) wind zones or in wind pressures up to 4.5kPa
- Suitable for specific design shear wall for residential or commercial applications where the structural design requires strong/stiffer shear walls

Customised products, which include products cut, made-to-measure, special order or mixed to specific requirements, cannot be refunded or exchanged.
Clearance items or products purchased during Clearance events in our stores, cannot be returned or exchanged.
It’s always easiest to return your product to the store you got it from, but you can return it to any Mitre 10 store. If you prefer to courier your product back to us, just check your invoice to see which store dispatched your order and that’s where you send it back to.
We will refund to your original payment method where possible or, if you prefer, we can issue you a Mitre 10 Gift Card for the sum equal to the cost of the product excluding handling and any delivery or returns costs.
If you return products which were purchased in full or part using Airpoints Dollars™ and choose to have your purchase refunded, we’ll refund you in the same proportion of Airpoints Dollars™ and other payment types that were used for the original payment.
Faulty Goods
If a problem occurs with a product purchased from Mitre 10, bring it back to us with your proof of purchase. We will either repair, replace or provide you with a refund, as set out in the Consumer Guarantees Act.
