This blackcurrant variety will grow anywhere where raspberries grow. This shrubby plant produces multi-stemmed canes with large soft green leaves which when crushed have a strong currant fragrance. These blackcurrants produce just in time for the summer months. The berries are firm and easily picked, and require less chilling than the traditional black currant. Expect a few berries in the second year after planting and heavy crops by the fourth year.
- Harvest from late December to February.
- Can grow to 1.5m in height and 2m wide.
- High in vitamin C, significant amount of vitamin E and carotenes and potassium.
- Can be grown in shade of other trees.
- Up to 5kg yield from one plant.
- The plant will be in production for ten years or more.

It’s always easiest to return your product to the store you got it from, but you can return it to any Mitre 10 store. If you prefer to courier your product back to us, just check your invoice to see which store dispatched your order and that’s where you send it back to.
We will refund to your original payment method where possible or, if you prefer, we can issue you a Mitre 10 Gift Card for the sum equal to the cost of the product excluding handling and any delivery or returns costs.
If you return products which were purchased in full or part using Airpoints Dollars™ and choose to have your purchase refunded, we’ll refund you in the same proportion of Airpoints Dollars™ and other payment types that were used for the original payment.
Faulty Goods
