Mitre 10 Air New Zealand Father's Day 2026 Airpoints Competition Terms & Conditions

HOW TO ENTER:

  1. Shop at Mitre 10 and provide your Air New Zealand Koru number (formerly known as an ‘Airpoints number’, which remains the same valid membership number) at checkout in-store, or enter your Koru number at checkout when shopping online at mitre10.co.nz. Entries will only be generated where a valid Koru number is successfully submitted and recorded at the time of checkout.
  2. One valid entry per completed transaction, regardless of transaction value. Only completed and paid transactions are eligible. Cancelled, returned or refunded transactions are not eligible entries.
  3. The promotion begins at 12:01am NZST on 20 August 2026 and ends at 11:59pm NZST on 6 September 2026 ("Promotion Period"). Entries are strictly valid on purchases between these dates.
  4. Records of the Promoters are final and conclusive as to the time of purchase.
  5. The Winners will be notified by the Promoters via the contact details registered with their Koru number.

PRIZE:

  1. All valid entries will be entered into the Prize draw to win 1,000 Airpoints (“Prize”). There is 1 Prize in total.
  2. Air New Zealand Koru Airpoints terms and conditions apply, see mitre10.co.nz/koru for more information
  3. Within 30 days of the end of the promotional period, the Prize will be credited to the Airpoints balance linked to the winner's Koru number provided at the time of entry. The Promoter does not accept liability for any incorrect or invalid Airpoints account details provided by a Winner.

PRIZE DRAW:

  1. “Winner” is defined as the person whose name is drawn in the Prize Draw held on 8 September 2026 (Prize Draw) or on 29 September 2026. (Unclaimed Prize Draw).
  2. The Winner will be drawn by random draw from all valid entries. The first valid entry drawn will win the Prize.
  3. By accepting a Prize, you accept and agree that Air New Zealand will provide your contact details (including, without limitation, your name, address, telephone number, and/or email address) to Mitre 10 for the purposes of awarding you your Prize.
  4. The Winner will be contacted by telephone and/or email, using the contact details associated with the Koru number provided at the time of entry, within 3 days of the Prize Draw. If the Winner does not respond by 28 September 2026, the Prize will be forfeited and a redraw may be conducted to determine a new Winner.
  5. If the Prize remains unclaimed by 28 September 2026, the Promoters may conduct an unclaimed Prize Draw on 29 September 2026 to award the Prize (Unclaimed Prize Draw). The winner of the Unclaimed Prize Draw will be contacted within 3 days of the Unclaimed Prize Draw using the contact details associated with the Koru number provided at the time of entry. If the winner of the Unclaimed Prize Draw does not respond within 7 days of being contacted, the Prize will be forfeited. The winner of the Unclaimed Prize Draw will be subject to the same Terms and Conditions as the original Winner.
  6. The Promoters are not responsible for any notification that is misdirected, lost or damaged, or if the Winner cannot be contacted due to incorrect details being registered in their Koru number.

PERSONAL INFORMATION:

  1. The Promoters collect and use personal information to conduct the Promotion. The Promoters will disclose this information to third parties only for the purpose of this Promotion, and otherwise only in accordance with the Mitre 10 Privacy Policy (www.mitre10.co.nz/privacy) and the Air New Zealand Koru Privacy Policy (www.airnewzealand.com/en-nz/koru/koru-terms-and-conditions).
  2. By accepting a Prize, the Winner agrees that the Promoters may use the Winner’s name, town/city and photograph for publicity purposes relating to this promotion or in public relations and marketing material, in any form of media, without payment or any other compensation.

FURTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:

  1. The Promoters reserve the right to amend these terms where reasonably necessary to administer the Promotion, subject to applicable law.
  2. This Promotion is open only to “Eligible Entrants”, being individuals who shop at Mitre 10 whilst: (i) holding a current Air New Zealand Koru number during the Promotion Period and at the time the Prize is awarded, and using that Koru number in connection with their qualifying purchase by presenting it for scanning at checkout in-store or entering it at checkout when shopping online at mitre10.co.nz; (ii) residents of New Zealand aged 18 years or older; and (iii) not employees of a Mitre 10 Store, the Promoters, or a spouse, defacto partner, parent, child or sibling (whether natural or by adoption) of such employee; and (iv) not professionally connected with the Promotion.
  3. The Promoters reserve the right to verify the validity and eligibility of entries and to disqualify any entry that is not in accordance with these terms.
  4. The Promoters’ decision on any matter is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  5. Prior to receiving the Prize and being declared a Winner, the entrant may be required to show proof of identity and to sign a declaration of eligibility and participation agreement that accepts the terms relating to the use and enjoyment of the Prize and releasing the Promoters and related parties from any and all liability in connection with the Promotion and/or the Prize.
  6. All other expenses incurred with any part of the Prize are the responsibility of the Winner.
  7. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoters (including its officers, directors, shareholders, employees, advisors, assignees, agents, licensees, representatives, advertising and promotional agencies) exclude all liability for any personal injury or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity), whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion or the Prize.
  8. The Promoters are not responsible for any third-party acts or omissions.
  9. The Promoters reserve the right to suspend, cancel or amend the Promotion or these Terms and Conditions at any time where reasonably necessary to address circumstances beyond the Promoters' reasonable control, including fraud, technical failures, administration errors, or any event that may compromise the integrity or proper conduct of the Promotion.
  10. The Promoters are Mitre 10 (New Zealand) Limited and Air New Zealand Limited.

From 1 December 2021, if you want to use Airpoints to pay for your shopping in-store or online, you will need to purchase a Mitre 10 E-Gift Card from the Airpoints store. It’s easy to do and there are a range of gift card values available.

Can I use my Air NZ mobile app at Mitre 10?

Yes, you can scan your Koru card at checkout using the latest version of the Air NZ mobile app.

Can I still earn Status Points and Airpoints if I part pay with my Koru credit card?

If you use an Airpoints earning credit card for part of your transaction, you will earn Status Points and Airpoints as per the terms and conditions of your credit card.

If I’m a Mitre 10 account customer, can I earn Airpoints?

Mitre 10 account customers should talk to their Account Manager or the Trade Team at their local store to find out more about earning Airpoints with Mitre 10. We treat each request to earn Airpoints on account individually and will discuss the wider terms of trade with you to ensure it’s right for you. For eligible account customers, Airpoints will be awarded after account payments are received in full and on time.

What happens if I am buying or using an e-Gift Card or regular Gift Card?

You can use Airpoints to buy some set denomination Mitre 10 e-Gift Cards from the Airpoints Store by visiting airpointsstore.co.nz

Mitre 10 e-Gift Cards and Gift Cards are treated as a form of payment, so when they are used in-store or online, Airpoints can be earned.

Are add-on services part of the programme?

Services provided by third parties, like installation and home services, are not part of the Koru programme - so you can’t earn Airpoints on them.

Can I use more than one Koru card on the same transaction?

No – we can only accept one Koru card per transaction. But with Shairpoints™ you can work with family and friends at the same address to combine your Airpoints in one account.

Do I still qualify for Mitre 10 promotions?

Yes.

If I paid with Airpoints before 1 December 2021, what happens if I need to return my purchase?

Our No Hassle Returns policy applies. However, if you choose to have your purchase refunded (in part or full), we’ll refund you in the same proportion of Airpoints and other payment types that were used for the original payment.

Terms, Conditions and Exclusions for Koru

In partnership with Air New Zealand, Mitre 10 customers can earn Airpoints in accordance with the terms, conditions and exclusions below:

  • You can earn Airpoints each time you make a purchase of goods or in-store services at any Mitre 10 or Mitre 10 MEGA store and present your Koru card or by including your Koru number when completing a purchase of goods or in-store services online at www.mitre10.co.nz
  • Airpoints are awarded at a rate equivalent to 1 Airpoint for every $115 (including GST) spent.
  • You can earn Airpoints when you use a Mitre 10 gift card to make purchases of goods or services, but not when you purchase a Mitre 10 gift card.
  • Airpoints cannot be earned on purchases of installation or assembly services that are not provided in-store.
  • Mitre 10 account customers should talk to their Account Manager or the Trade Team at their local store to find out more about earning Airpoints with Mitre 10. We treat each request to earn Airpoints on account individually and will discuss the wider terms of trade with you to ensure it’s right for you. For eligible account customers, Airpoints will be awarded after account payments are received in full and on time.
  • We may offer extra Airpoints (Bonus Airpoints) on purchases of goods or services in store, and these goods or services and/or the number of Bonus Airpoints may change at any time without notice.
  • We may also make limited Bonus Airpoints offers direct to all or to selected Koru member customers at our discretion.
  • Airpoints earned through Mitre 10 will be loaded onto your Koru account within 14 working days of your purchase of goods or in-store services having been paid for in full and having been uplifted by or delivered to you.
  • You cannot earn Air New Zealand status points through Mitre 10.
  • Mitre 10 and Air New Zealand reserve the right to deduct Airpoints™ earned through Mitre 10 from your Koru account if the payment on which those Airpoints was earned is refunded or dishonoured for any reason.
  • By earning Airpoints through Mitre 10, you authorise us to collect, use and disclose the personal information we have collected from you, including information about your Airpoints, in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, the Mitre 10 Privacy Policy and the Air New Zealand Koru Terms and Conditions.
  • We may also collect personal information about you on an anonymised and limited basis from Air New Zealand or its other Koru partners, including information about your membership of Koru and about where and when you earn Airpoints, and share that information with Air New Zealand and other Koru partners.
  • We may change these Terms and Conditions at any time by updating the same on our website www.mitre10.co.nz. The updated terms will apply from the time they are published. We may without notice:
    • change these Terms and Conditions at any time if Air New Zealand changes the Air New Zealand Koru Terms and Conditions; or
    • stop awarding Airpoints to you at any time at our discretion if we cease to be a partner in Air New Zealand’s Koru Programme.
  • We are not responsible and accept no liability for verifying whether you are the person/entity entitled to earn Airpoints (including Bonus Airpoints) in relation to a purchase of goods or services or whether another person/entity should in fact be the beneficiary of those Airpoints.
  • We are not responsible and accept no liability for any breach by Air New Zealand or its other Koru partners of their obligations to you in respect of the Koru Programme.
