Southern Pine is a leading New Zealand distributor and manufacturer of high-quality, finished timber products and was named Mitre 10’s Building Products Supply Partner of the Year in 2021.

Southern Pine (SPP) is part of a group that provides full vertical integration in the processing, manufacturing, and distribution of finished timber products. Within the SPP Group is SPP Stillwater sawmill in Greymouth, SPP Manufacturing in Christchurch, and Southern Pine Distribution in Auckland and Christchurch. The SPP Group model enables SPP to deliver consistently high-quality products and service nationwide. SPP produce mouldings, door jambs, panelling, square dressed boards, weatherboards, and fascia. The full product range consists of over 1,600 products.

Weatherboards

Southern Pine offer solid and FJ Radiata Pine weatherboards in both H3.1 and primed, and robust H3.2, in pre-primed or raw. Made from sustainable NZ Radiata Pine, timber cladding has been the go-to option for New Zealand homes for generations.

Mouldings

Mouldings are Southern Pine’s bread and butter. We offer raw/pre-primed, treated/untreated, and gesso coated Radiata Pine mouldings, as well as MDF mouldings across an extensive range of profiles.

Exterior Timber Components

Southern Pine also supply scriber, fascia, scotia, sill block, cavity batten, box corners and other exterior components which complement any cladding option and add those finishing touched to your build.

Square Dressed Boards

Used for numerous applications in construction and furniture/joinery, Southern Pine’s square dressed boards are sourced from pruned NZ Radiata Pine logs. They are available in clears (no knots) and dressing grade (minor tight knot or blemish).

Panelling

Southern Pine’s TGV/TFV panelling range can be used in a variety of applications including flooring, ceilings, and feature walls. Product options include NZ Radiata Pine/MDF, treated/untreated, primed/un-primed, and various widths and thicknesses.
