ITI Timspec was established in 1990 as a wholesaler of specialty timber which is wholly New Zealand owned and committed to providing uncompromising service combined with value, visuals and versatility.

In March 2019, Timspec LTD was acquired by ITI LTD, so Timspec is now called ITI Timspec LTD. We deliver good quality timber on time and aim to dispatch orders within 24 hours. We work hard to build great working relationships with our customers and suppliers and we are known for our service in the industry. ITI Timspec only sources timber from the best mills and lumberyards from different parts of the world.

Today we import, export, and wholesale a huge range of timber to builders, joiners, home-owners, floor layers, landscape builders and furniture manufacturers. We pride ourselves on being very environmentally responsible and strive to source the most sustainable timber options available. Timber stock at our branches in Auckland, Carterton & Christchurch include species from North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand’s exotic and indigenous species.


Accoya Cladding/ Decking
Accoya is the world’s leading high technology wood, produced from a non-toxic cellular modification process known as acetylation. The softwood used in the process is Radiata Pine sourced from sustainably managed forests in New Zealand.
Weathertex is a manufacturer of natural Australian hardwood weatherboards and architectural panels. Weathertex uses certified state forest or private hardwoods from controlled sources.
EvaLast decking
Eva-Last®'s range of composite building solutions offer premium outdoor living through innovative, durable and eco-friendly products. Eva-Last® manufactures composite decking, as well as various accessories to match.
Tricoya® is a completely new, high performance MDF panel product. It demonstrates outstanding durability and dimensional stability in the most extreme and challenging environments – both exterior as well as interior, wet and high moisture application.
OSB Flooring Substrate
From squeak-free floors to solid wall and roof sheathing-oriented strand board (OSB) is shaping how the world builds. OSB is engineered for strength and designed for a variety of applications. OSB is a proven performer.
EziTrim plus is manufactured from sustainable plantation grown Radiata Pine (Pinus radiata) which has been milled, kiln dried and docked to remove all knots and visible imperfections.
Flooring hardwoods
Solid & engineered T&G flooring. Flooring species options include US Black Walnut, US Hard Maple, US Red Oak, US roasted White Ash, US roasted White Oak, Us White Ash, US White Oak, AUS Blackwood (Tasmanian) and more.
Western Red Cedar Cladding
Thuja plicata heartwood is generally a pinkish salmon to red colour but can also be chocolate brown, WR Cedar is dimensionally very stable. Texture is fine but uneven due to the prominent growth rings and the grain is straight.
Radiata Pine Cladding
Radiata Pine is the most used weatherboard species and is sourced from sustainably managed forests in New Zealand. It is a medium density softwood, straight grained with an even texture. H3.2 for durability.
Spotted Gum Decking
Spotted Gum is strong and durable timber with good amount of natural oils. The heartwood ranges from a pale brown to dark chocolate brown, to deep red-brown, while the sapwood is white to light brown in colour.
Vitex Decking
Vitex is a creamy-grey to light greenish coloured durable hardwood. It planes and machines well and is easy to cut across the grain. A good finish can be obtained and it has good bending qualities.
Timber for Mouldings
We have a range of timber species for moulding application in construction.
EziPly® Structural Panels are laid up on a hardcore using exterior Phenol - Formaldehyde resin for consistent quality and performance. certified to AS/NZS 2269 it gives you the assurance that it has structural integrity.
