Terms & Conditions


  1. Purchase any Sunbeam product, in one transaction, at any Mitre 10 or MEGA store, and go in the draw to win $1,500 Airpoints Dollars.
  2. Swipe your Airpoints Dollars card at the point of sale, or enter your Airpoints Dollars customer number when completing your purchase online and you will be automatically entered into the competition. 
  3. One entry is given per transaction.
  4. The promotion commences at 12.01 am on 23 October 2019 and closes at midnight on 19 November 2019 ("Promotion Period"). Entries are strictly valid on purchases between these dates. Judge’s discretion applies. 
  5. Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt by the Promoter. Records of the Promoter are final and conclusive as to time of receipt.
  6. Ensure that you retain your till receipt as proof of purchase to verify your entry. Loss of this may result in ineligibility to claim the Prize.
  7. The “Winner” is defined as the person whose names is drawn in the prize draw held on 3 December 2019 (“Prize Draw”).
  8. The Winners will be notified by the Promoter via the contact details associated with their Airpoints account. 


  1. The Winner will be drawn on 3 December 2019 by random draw from all valid entries. 
  2. The Winner will be notified by email or phone (voice or text). If the Promoter is unable to contact a prize winner within 14 days of a draw (after no less than three (3) attempts), the Promoter reserves the right to declare that winner’s entry invalid and draw a new winner of the Prize. 
  3. The Prizes cannot be exchanged for alternative prizes/products or for cash. 
  4. The Promoter will arrange for the Prize to be collected by the Winner.


  1. Information on how to enter and the prize details form part of these Terms and Conditions of Entry. Participation in this Promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions as amended or modified from time to time.
  2. This Promotion is only open to “Eligible Entrants”, being individuals who: (i) are residents of New Zealand aged 18 years or older; and (ii) are not ‘employees’ of the Promoter, Mitre 10 and MEGA Stores in New Zealand, Air New Zealand, Sunbeam or Columbus employees at MEGA and Mitre 10 Stores in New Zealand, and are not a spouse, defacto partner, parent, child or sibling (whether natural or by adoption) of such said employee; and (iii) are not professionally connected with the Promotion.
  3. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of claims and Eligible Entrants (including an entrant's identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any claimant who submits a redemption that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions of Entry or who tampers with the redemption process. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
  4. The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  5. Prior to receiving the Prize and being declared a Winner, the Entrant may again be required to show proof of identity, e.g. passport or driver’s license.
  6. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for death or any personal injury suffered or sustained as consequence participation in the promotion or as a consequence of the use and enjoyment of the Prize.
  7. All other expenses incurred with any part of the Prize are the responsibility of the Winner.
  8. Receipts used for entry into the competition are void if stolen, forged, mutilated or tampered with in any way.
  9. The Promoter is not responsible for any notification that is misdirected, lost or damaged, or if the Winner cannot be contacted due to incorrect details being saved to their Airpoints card.
  10. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, directors, shareholders, employees, advisors, assignees, agents, licensees, representatives, advertising and promotional agencies) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity), whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where attributable to any of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter's control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions of Entry; (e) any tax liability incurred by a claimant or Entrant; or (f) use of a Prize.
  11. The Promoter is not responsible for any third-party acts or omissions.
  12. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the Promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including, but not limited to, prize suppliers and as required, to regulatory authorities.
  13. The Entrant consents to the storage of their personal information on the Promoter’s database for purposes of this competition.
  14. The Promoter is Mitre 10 (New Zealand) Ltd. 
  15. Excludes on account trade customers and cannot be used in conjunction with any other bonus Airpoints Dollars offer at Mitre 10.
