Always wear gloves when handling sleepers. Use a breathing mask when cutting sleepers. Creosote sleepers should not be used in areas where they will come into contact with food unless a suitable barrier is used.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good grade Nice grade timber, not as many imperfections as I’ve found elsewhere. Also best price compared to others.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beautiful wood, but very knotty. The wood was pretty nice, but it was very knotty. Undoubtedly an off-cut. I asked the staff if they had other pieces, they said that that was the best they had. And, the ends had not been cut flush, looked like a quick job.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Macrcarpa Logs I was rather unhappy after my purchase of 7 of these logs/sleepers a fortnight ago. They were extremely heavy, a good thing except that when they we dropped on to grass, some of them split lengthways. Then I found that each log was not 2.1m in length not square cut at each end. So I had to square up each one and cut them all to the shortest length 2.06m, I think. The overall effect was quite good but I was glad the contents of the raised garden bed I was building would probably cover up most of the blemishes.
