Daffodils are the true essence that spring has arrived in any garden. The dependable, spring-flowering daffodil is a favourite for its long life and carefree, colourful blooms. Daffodils bring cheer to the spring garden with abundant flowers in hues of yellow, white, pink, and salmon. Varieties are available in a range of sizes and forms. Flowers may be single or double, grow singly on a stem or with multiple flowers per stem, and height varies from 6 to 20 inches.
Thick, soft yellow outer petals of this vigorous performer are etched with blonde brush strokes when the blossoms first open.
The color evolves into sparkling snowy white as the flowers mature.
Plant the Daffodils 3-5 cm deep, 8-10 cm apart in well worked soil, preferably in a sunny, free draining position. If drainage is a problem, plant shallower and mound the soil over the bulbs. Never cut back or remove the foliage until it has died down naturally. Available from mid-February through to May and is best to be planted straight away.
