Rated 5 out of 5 by from Grunty (and heavy) polisher I purchased this to clean up a 20 year old car that has been outside for 13 years and had had very little TLC. The paintwork was heavily oxidised, lichen was starting to grow on it etc. I used 'heavy duty' rubbing compound on an flanneling applicator (purchased separately). Using the low-medium speed (2-3) the polisher had enough torque to spin the disk against the resistance and clean off the muck, one panel at a time. You'd maybe use the higher speeds for buffing, but I did that by hand. The D shape handle was comfortable to use and made the weight manageable. The internal gearbox is a bit growly in action, but not a problem. This unit is 1400W - glad that I did not purchase a lower power one for this job.
