Make sure you have your Strawberry plants sorted so you can enjoy delicious fresh strawberries picked straight from the garden. The popular Camarosa variety produces medium sized red fruit with firm flesh and excellent flavour. Producing a light, early crop followed by a heavy summer crop, this variety is high yeilding. The fresh juicy fruit can be used to brighten and sweeten desserts, while also making a delicious snack.


Regular feeding & watering is essential. Apply a complete fertiliser during the growing seasons and keep moist in dry conditions. Plant in moist, well drained soil with plenty of organic matter. Short day type - flowers are initiated by short day lengths. Fruit ripen 20-35 days from flowering depending on climate, with light crops in early summer, followed by a main crop in December - January.
  • Recommended planting is during Winter and Spring.
  • Choose a spot in full sun.
  • Large to very large medium dark red fruit.
  • Firm medium red flesh with excellent flavour.
  • High resistance to wet weather.
  • Suitable for Northern and Central districts.
  • Vigorous growth habit.
  • Give these vigorous plants wide spacing.

We are happy to exchange or refund products within 28 days provided that the product is returned with a valid invoice or delivery docket, and;

Customised products, which include products cut, made-to-measure, special order or mixed to specific requirements, cannot be refunded or exchanged.

Clearance items or products purchased during Clearance events in our stores, cannot be returned or exchanged.

It’s always easiest to return your product to the store you got it from, but you can return it to any Mitre 10 store. If you prefer to courier your product back to us, just check your invoice to see which store dispatched your order and that’s where you send it back to.

We will refund to your original payment method where possible or, if you prefer, we can issue you a Mitre 10 Gift Card for the sum equal to the cost of the product excluding handling and any delivery or returns costs.

If you return products which were purchased in full or part using Airpoints Dollars™ and choose to have your purchase refunded, we’ll refund you in the same proportion of Airpoints Dollars™ and other payment types that were used for the original payment.

Faulty Goods

If a problem occurs with a product purchased from Mitre 10, bring it back to us with your proof of purchase. We will either repair, replace or provide you with a refund, as set out in the Consumer Guarantees Act.
