Rated 4 out of 5 by from decent for cutting poor handle design This is the second one of these we have bought, our backyard has a few small terrace of lawn up a steep hill so we want a light mower to carry up and down the hill. Hand mowers fit this and since the total area of grass mowed isn't that large they are a good job. The first one cut well and was used for a few years but the design of the handle puts a lot of strain on the handle at the points where the tube has been flattened to join the parts together (especially on our somewhat lumpy lawn). This resulted in the handle breaking after a couple of years. Since Flymo don't sell replacement parts we got the handle welded back together and continued to use it until another area failed. We then tried a Morrison hand mower which lasted about a year before the plastic gears in the wheels started wearing out so we have gone back to Flymo. Wish they had a better handle design or at least the ability to buy replacement parts since the cutting head was still working fine when we finally gave up on the handle.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hard work. But works as expected Not for everyone.. Really need to keep your lawn well mowed.. I would say I'll be mowing it every 1-2 weeks. Has difficulties mowing long grass and getting edges.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to use Does the job. Great for a small lawn. Much better than a petrol or electric mower.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not bad Been using mine for a couple of years now, so has worked out a lot cheaper than a petrol mower / paying someone over that time. The good: Cuts well providing you take the time to learn how to set the blades properly and adjust regularly. Light and easy to use on slopes, Cheaper than many alternatives Quiet Good for you and the environment The bad: Height adjust broke, had to fix with a cable tie Plastic drive gears are starting to wear Can't cut very close to edges due to wheels outside blades (common to most reel mowers)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor durability This mower lasted about the warranty period of 2 years, and during that time it was ok. But then the plastic gears were worn to an extent where one wheel would not contribute to rotating the blades any longer. And a short while later, one of the handle tubes cracked and broke in the middle, where they are bolted together. Overall, it is a modern, lightweight, and flimsy design - not made to last. Seeing this is the supposedly highest-end (and certainly highest-priced) hand mower in the shop, this is disappointing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not to be recommended A waste of money. Super lightweight it just rolled over all the daisies and dandelions on my lawn which then bounced up again. The nuts and bolts in the handles keep falling off which is a pain. Wish I hadn't bought it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy as. Makes mowing your lawn such a breeze whilst also being carbon neutral. Win-win!
