Peperomia prostrata or String of turtles is a small vining plant with fleshy, round, dark green to purple delicate leaves with a beautiful pattern of white veins. It will form a thick mat and does well in hanging baskets where it will cascade over the sides of the pot. String of Turtles is a new variety of Peperomia which gets it name as its leaves that resemble a gorgeous print of a turtle shell.
Water plants regularly to keep the soil evenly moist to avoid a feast or famine approach. The frequency you need to water the plant will depend upon the room temperature. In summer it could be as often as once a week in summer and fortnightly in winter.
