TERMS AND CONDITIONS – Be in to win a Hilux. Plus be in to win your share of 30,000 Airpoints DollarsTM


  1. Buy any product from any Mitre 10 or Mitre 10 MEGA store or online via the Mitre 10 website, and go in the draw to win either the Prize or the Minor Prize. (Please see exceptions in clauses 2 & 3 of the General Terms and Conditions below.)
  2. Visit www.mitre10.co.nz/winatoyota and complete the online entry process, where you must enter your full name, email address, contact number and unique code (located on your till receipt).
  3. There are no restrictions as to the number of entries you may enter in this promotion, however you can only enter each unique code once when completing the entry process. If the unique code is duplicated or incorrectly entered, your entry will not be accepted into the competition.
  4. The promotion commences at 12.01 am on 27 December 2017 and closes at midnight on 5 February 2018 ("Promotion Period"). Entries are strictly valid on purchases between these dates. You have until midnight 7 February 2018 to complete your entries at www.mitre10.co.nz/winatoyota.
  5. Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt by the Promoter. Records of the Promoter are final and conclusive as to time of receipt.
  6. Ensure that you retain your till receipt as proof of purchase to verify your entry. Loss of this may result in ineligibility to claim the Prize.
  1. All entrants go in the draw to win one (1) Toyota Hilux 4WD SR5 Double Cab (“Prize”) or one of three prizes of 10,000 Airpoints Dollars (“Minor Prize”).
Specific Terms and Conditions re Toyota Hilux 4WD SR5 Double Cab
  1. There is one Prize and three Minor Prizes nationwide.
  2. The Prize does not include any accessories but includes on-road costs and consists of twelve months’ vehicle registration and Warrant of Fitness, 5,000km Road User Charges (RUC) license and a full tank of fuel.
  3. “Winner” is defined as the person whose name is drawn in the prize draw held on 9 February 2018 (Prize Draw) or on 19 February 2018 (Unclaimed Prize Draw).
  4. The colour of the Prize may vary from one shown on any promotional material and cannot be negotiated.
  5. In the event that the model of the Toyota Hilux 4WD SR5 Double Cab shown in the Promotional artwork is unavailable, Toyota will provide a vehicle of equal or of greater value. The Promoter has no control over this matter, and it is at Toyota’s discretion.
  6. The Winner must supply the relevant Toyota Dealership (advised at the time of notification of winning the Prize) with a valid New Zealand driver’s license to enable the Toyota dealership to register the Prize in the Winner’s name.
  7. Insurance of the Prize needs to be arranged by the Winner.
  8. Toyota will provide the Prize with a standard Toyota new vehicle warranty which gives the owner comprehensive protection against manufacturing or assembly defects for 3 years/ 100,000km (whichever occurs first under normal operating conditions). Further details on the standard Toyota new vehicle warranty are included in the Toyota website www.toyota.co.nz.
  9. The Prize is not eligible for any other New Vehicle campaign benefits advertised by Toyota at the time.
  10. The Prize handover will take place at the nearest Toyota dealership as advised to the Winner by the Promoter and at a time agreeable by all parties. The handover is complete when the Prize is in the Winner’s possession. All related liability of owning a vehicle is then passed to the Winner. Neither the Promoter nor the relevant Toyota dealer will have any responsibility regarding the vehicle, including any injury or damage caused by the negligence of the Winner once the handover is complete.
Specific Terms re Airpoints Dollars
  1. The Winners of the Minor Prize must be an Airpoints member to receive the Minor Prize, or become an Airpoints member within two weeks of the relevant Prize Draw (see below).
  2. To join Airpoints, visit www.airnewzealand.co.nz/airpoints. To claim your Bonus Airpoints Dollar prize, each Winner must confirm their Airpoints membership number to the Promoter by 16 February 2018.
  3. Air New Zealand will credit the 10,000 bonus Airpoints Dollar prize to the membership number supplied by The Promoter by 2 March 2018.

  1. The Winners will be drawn on 9 February 2018 by random draw from all valid entries. The first valid entry drawn will win the Prize, followed by 3 correct entrants of that follow thereafter, who will win the Minor Prizes (in that order). Any entries that are incorrect will be deemed invalid and not be eligible to win any prize. Another random draw will then be conducted to determine the Winner (in order stated above.)
  2. Neither the Prize nor the Minor Prize can be exchanged for cash, vouchers or alternative prizes/products.
  3. The Winner's first name and non-specific details may be used for promotional purposes in newsletters/website material.
  4. Mitre 10 & the Prize Sponsors employees are not eligible to win the promotion. See full terms in General Terms and Conditions of Entry (below).
  5. The Winners will be notified by telephone on the phone number submitted with their entry within 5 days of the prize draw. The Winner must respond by 16 February 2018 or the prize will be forfeited and another Winner drawn.
  6. If the Prize or a Minor Prize remains unclaimed on 19 February 2018, the Promoter may conduct an unclaimed prize draw on the same day, at the same time and place as the previous prize draw in order to award the prize (“Unclaimed Prize Draw”). The new Winner will be telephoned on the phone number submitted with their entry within 7 days of the Unclaimed Prize Draw. The new Winner will be subject to the same terms and conditions of this competition. The Promoter reserves the right to forfeit any prize if said prize has not been claimed by 28 February 2018
  7. The Promoter is not responsible for any notification that is misdirected, lost or damaged, or if the Winner cannot be contacted due to incorrect details being provided in the entry form.
  1. Information on how to enter and the prize details form part of these Terms and Conditions of Entry. Participation in this Promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions as amended or modified from time to time.
  2. This Promotion is only open to “Eligible Entrants”, being individuals who: (i) are residents of New Zealand aged 18 years or older; and (ii) are not employees of the Promoter or the Prize Sponsor, and are not a spouse, defacto partner, parent, child or sibling (whether natural or by adoption) of such said employee; and (iii) are not professionally connected with the Promotion.
  3. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of claims and Eligible Entrants (including an entrant's identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any claimant who submits a redemption that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions of Entry or who tampers with the redemption process. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
  4. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  5. Incomplete, indecipherable or illegible claims will be deemed invalid.
  6. Prior to receiving the Prize or a Minor Prize and being declared a Winner, the Entrant may again be required to show proof of identity, e.g. passport or driver’s license, and sign a declaration of eligibility and participation agreement, accepting the terms and conditions relating to the use and enjoyment of the prize and releasing the Promoter and its related companies and each of their officers, directors, shareholders, employees, advisors, assignees, agents, licensees, representatives, advertising and promotional agencies from any and all liability in connection with the Promotion and/or the Prize and Minor Prizes, and confirming compliance with these Terms and Conditions of Entry.
  7. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for death or any personal injury suffered or sustained as consequence participation in the promotion or as a consequence of the use and enjoyment of either the Prize or the Minor Prize.
  8. All other expenses incurred with any part of the Prize or the Minor Prize are the responsibility of the Winner.
  9. If any Prize (or part of any Prize) or Minor Prize is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the Prize (or that part of Prize) or Minor Prize with a prize equal to or greater in value as specified herewith in these Terms and Conditions.
  10. Receipts used for entry into the competition are void if stolen, forged, mutilated or tampered with in any way.
  11. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, directors, shareholders, employees, advisors, assignees, agents, licensees, representatives, advertising and promotional agencies) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity), whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where attributable to any of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter's control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions of Entry; (e) any tax liability incurred by a claimant or Entrant; or (f) use of a Prize or Minor Prize.
  12. By accepting a Prize or Minor Prize, the Winner agrees that the Promoter may use his/her name, address and photograph for publicity purposes strictly relating to this promotion, including but not restricted to on packaging, or in public relations and marketing material, in any form of media, as carried out by the Promoter and/or its advertising and promotional agencies, without seeking payment or any other compensation.
  13. The Promoter is not responsible for any third-party acts or omissions, including but not limited to that of the Prize or Minor Prize supplier.
  14. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the Promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including, but not limited to, prize suppliers and as required, to regulatory authorities.
  15. The Entrant consents to the storage of their personal information on the Promoter’s database for purposes of this competition.
  16. If the Entrant consents to being contacted by the Promoter, the Promoter may use the personal information provided to contact the Entrant for future promotional and marketing purposes including contacting the Entrant via electronic messaging.
