Participating Stores

Promotional Product

  • Any product purchased at Participating Stores. No minimum amount required.


  • Employees of the Promoter and New Zealand Rugby, including spouse, defacto partner, parent, child or sibling (whether natural or by adoption);
  • Anyone professionally connected with the Promotion.
  • Employees of Participating Stores including spouse, defacto partner, parent, child or sibling (whether natural or by adoption).
  • Promoter’s discretion applies as to the eligibility of entering this Promotion.

Promotion Period

  • The Promotion commences on commences at 12.01 am on 17 August 2017 and closes at midnight on 29 October 2017
  • Any entries made 30 October 2017 onwards are invalid.
  • Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt by the Promoter. Records of the Promoter are final and conclusive.

Entry Requirements

  • Entrants must purchase Promotional Product from any Participating Stores.
  • After purchasing the Promotional Product, Entrants go to www.mitre10.co.nz/mitre10cup and complete the online entry form.
  • Entrants must enter the unique code located on individual receipts to complete the entry process.
  • No restrictions as to the number of times Entrants may enter the Promotion.
  • However, Entrants can only enter each unique code once.


  • One (1) of four (4) Prizes to be won by four (4) Winners respectively.
  • Each Prize comprises of two (2) Mitre 10 gift cards worth NZ$5000 each, where one (1) gift card is for the winning Entrant and one (1) gift card is for the local sports club of the Entrant’s choice.*
    * The Promoter ultimately has sole discretion as to which sports club the prize will be allocated to. Sports clubs that do not align with the Promoter’s values, purpose and vision may not be entitled to receive the Prize. In that instance, the Entrants may nominate another local sports club to receive the prize.
  • Two (2) Prizes will be awarded to Entrants from the North Island Participating Stores and Two (2) Prizes awarded to Entrants from the South Island Participating Stores.
  • Promoter’s decision is final, and reserves the right to forfeit any part or all of the Prize.
  • The Prize or any unused portion of the Prize, is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.

Prize Draws

  • The Prize Draw will be held on 6 November 2017
  • If the Prize is not claimed by 19 November 2017, another draw will be held on 20 November 2017 (Unclaimed Prize Draw). The new winner will be subject to the same terms and conditions herein.
  • The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered in to.

Notification to Winners

  • Winners will be notified by phone and/or email, as per details provided at the entry process.

Governing Law

  • The Promotion and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand and all entrants irrevocably agree that the Courts of New Zealand shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with the Promotion.


  1. Information on how to enter and the prize details form part of these Terms and Conditions of Entry. Participation in this Promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
  2. Floor stock only – no phone orders, lay-bys, or rain-checks.
  3. This Promotion is only open to Entrants being individuals who are residents of New Zealand and who are not professionally connected with the Promotion, in addition to the Exclusions mentioned in the Specific Terms and Conditions (above). Promoter’s discretion applies as to eligibility of Entrants into this Promotion.
  4. By entering this promotion, Entrants agree to the use of their name and photograph for promotional/advertising purposes. The ensuing copyright will vest with the Promoter, without any claim to compensation from the Entrants.
  5. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the Promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including, but not limited to, prize suppliers and as required, to regulatory authorities.
  6. The Entrant consents to the storage of their personal information on the Promoter’s database for purposes of this competition.
  7. If the Entrant consents to being contacted by the Promoter, the Promoter may use the personal information provided to contact the Entrant for future promotional and marketing purposes including contacting the Entrant via electronic messaging.
  8. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of claims (including an Entrant's identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any Entrants who enters this competition, not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions of Entry or who tampers with any part of this competition. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
  9. Incomplete, indecipherable or illegible claims will be deemed invalid.
  10. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  11. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for death or any personal injury suffered or sustained as consequence of participation in the promotion or as a consequence of the use and application of the Prize.
  12. All expenses incurred as part of the prize is the responsibility of the winner.
  13. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including their respective officers, directors, shareholders, employees, advisors, assignees, agents, licensees, representatives, advertising and promotional agencies) exclude all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity), whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where attributable to any of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter's control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions of Entry; (e) any tax liability incurred by a claimant or Entrant; or (f) use of a prize.
  14. All entries remain the property of the Promoter. The Promoter collects Entrants' personal information in order to conduct the Promotion.
  15. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend this Promotion at any time before the end of the promotion period at its sole discretion without assigning any reason whatsoever or being liable to any person or Entrants.
  16. The Promoter reserves the right to amend or modify these Terms and Conditions of Entry at any time and from time to time.
