OUR SUPPORT

 

The Neurological Foundation is a registered charity that was formed in 1971 to reduce the level of suffering and premature death from diseases of the brain and nervous system through research, education and information. The primary focus of the Foundation is scientific and medical research and twice each year the Foundation makes grants to Doctors & Scientists involved in the neurological field.

The Foundation is almost totally funded by individual New Zealanders, with about 98% of its funds coming from donations & bequests.
Mitre 10 has had a long standing relationship with The Neurological Foundation & this year we celebrate our 20 Year Anniversary. Supporting the Foundation, as one of our key Sponsorship partners, is how we give back to our customers by supporting the ongoing health of our communities and by showing we care about the issues that affect them.

The Foundation’s Executive Director Max Ritchie says “We have been privileged to have the support of Mitre 10 since 1991, and Mitre 10 staff will be proud to know that this Sponsorship has been pivotal to raising awareness and much-needed research funding to provide for the future brain health of New Zealanders.”

 

This year's appeal runs from Sunday 3rd - Saturday 9th July 2011. To donate please look out for an appeal envelope in your letterbox over this time or find an envelope at your local Mitre 10 store. Alternatively you can donate online via the Neurological Foundations website.
