An item in the Business Section of the NZ Herald referring to Mitre 10 Australia and linking it to Mitre 10 (New Zealand) Limited is incorrect.

1. Mitre 10 (New Zealand) Limited has no shareholding or financial link with Mitre 10 Australia.
    
2. Mitre 10 (New Zealand) Limited is 100% owned by New Zealanders and operates as a co-operative.
    
3. Mitre 10 (New Zealand) Limited is a highly successful company with annual retail sales forecast to reach $1 billion this financial year.
    
4. Mitre 10 (New Zealand) Limited is the biggest DIY Home Improvement Retailer in New Zealand with sales almost twice that of Bunnings NZ.
    
5. Mitre 10 (New Zealand) Limited was voted the Most Trusted and Respected Retail Brand in New Zealand for 2008.  The survey is conducted annually by Reader’s Digest.
    
6. Mitre 10 (New Zealand) Limited is not being offered for sale and not in any way shape or form part of the Mitre 10 Australia recapitalisation/sale process.
