Solar Garden Lights

Solar Garden Lights can enhance your garden landscape and help to create a feature in your garden at night. They create a romantic atmosphere and provide a soft guiding light that can be used to mark the edge of a pathway or rockery.

Easy to install

Gently push the stake of the solar garden light into the ground where it will be in direct sunlight. The lights have been designed for easy do-it-yourself installation. There are no wiring hassles because solar power is completely independent of mains electricity. At night the lights create an elegant look as they softly illuminate features in your garden landscape.

Stake in sunlit areas

Solar Garden Lights are most effective when positioned in areas where they will receive the most possible hours of direct sunlight during the day. Avoid shaded areas such as under shrubs or under shade cloth. Keep the solar panels clean and free of dead foliage or bird droppings.

Lights automatically switch on at night

Solar Garden Lights have special panels on top of the lamp case. During the day these panels convert light energy from the sun into electrical energy that gets stored in a rechargeable battery built into the lamp. (The battery runs the light at night.) A Daylight Sensor automatically turns your solar light off during the day. This sensor is either built into the solar panel, or it`s a separate sensor next to the solar panel. Cover the sensor with the palm of your hand - the light should illuminate.

Tip: The Daylight Sensor may prevent a lamp from turning on if it`s placed too near street lighting. You should place your Solar Garden Light where other direct sources of light from your house won`t reach it at nightfall.

The duration for which the light remains on
is dependent on the amount of sunlight it receives during the day. So if the day is very overcast and sunlight levels are low, the light may only illuminate for a few hours at night. This is not a deficiency in the light.

Note: Solar Garden lights are not suitable for emergency lighting or to illuminate hazardous areas - you would need an electric light for these areas.
